Local HVAC, Done the Straight Way
Back2Cool HVAC (BACK2COOL HVAC LLC) is a small, local heating and cooling company based at 4851 Woodman Ave, Sherman Oaks, CA 91423. We've been doing HVAC work for 12 years, and we built Back2Cool around a simple idea: find the real cause, explain it in plain English, give a clear price, and only do the work that's actually needed.
Folks say we're the go-to for mini splits, central AC and heat pumps in LA homes — and we still take the same care with a quick AC repair or a tune-up.
Meet the Lead Tech
Nikita Olkhovskii got into HVAC through hands-on field work and has spent years installing, diagnosing, servicing and repairing residential and commercial systems. He has completed specialized HVAC training courses with Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin and Fujitsu. A recent favorite project: a 5-zone Mitsubishi mini-split system with a branch box — every indoor unit, the outdoor unit, refrigerant piping, electrical, condensate drains and a full startup and test, finished in about two days.
"Nikita is the man! Showed up in 30 mins after my call and fixed the issue!"

How We Work
- We listen to what's going on and inspect the whole system.
- We diagnose the root cause — we don't just swap parts.
- We explain what we found, your options, and the price before any work.
- We complete the approved work and verify the system runs properly before we leave.
- For new systems: load-calculation sizing, permit, Title 24 testing, rebate paperwork, and a written quote with exact model numbers.
- Floors covered, site cleaned daily, old equipment hauled away.
